It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces on Sunday and Monday in addition to welcoming all our new families into our JPAS program.
I would like to give a big round of applause to our amazing performers! The talent at auditions this year was excellent. We’ve got a fantastic group of children which was evident both on and off the stage. In addition to singing and dancing their hearts out, our performers were supportive of each other and began to form friendships that will continue to grow over the next few months.
Pictures and Video Coverage from Auditions
Rehearsals Begin Sunday, January 24
Please arrive at the Zale Auditorium promptly at 1:30 pm. Pick-up is at 5:30.
What cast your child is in and what role they are playing will be announced this Sunday. Sunday is often an emotional day. I encourage you to have a conversation with your child in advance, reminding them that every role is important no matter how big or small it may appear at first glance. Everyone will have an opportunity to shine on stage. Our Directors and Music Directors are looking forward to the next phase, which is to hone into each of our performer’s strengths. Please keep in mind this creative process takes time. A lot will unfold in the next few weeks. Please encourage your child to give their all in rehearsals, practice at home, and have fun. The production team will be constantly evaluating their performance so that they can decide where it makes sense to add more lines, solos, dances etc. The key is to “bring it” each week and remain dedicated. This positive attitude will be noticed.
