Dear Seussical Families,
What an amazing journey we had together! THANK YOU for giving JPAS the opportunity to spend this special time with you and your children. We have all been deeply touched.
I want to share with you this short story. It was the final performance for our senior cast. I noticed one of our actors was holding back on stage. I lovingly took him aside and explained to him that often, fear is the one thing that gets in the way our greatness. And that I, the JPAS team, believed in him. I encouraged him to not let the fear win. And he went out on that stage and gave the best performance he had ever given. He stared fear in the eyes and taught it a lesson. Now that is the golden ticket.
I share this because as I mentioned in my speech the actual performance while we strive to provide excellent acting and voice coaching, the performance itself is truly just a glimpse of JPAS' goals during the rehearsals and the run. Knowing our actors walked away with a new-found confidence, appreciation for the arts, new friendships, new life skills...is what it is all about.
And so with that, which is so appropriate considering my story, I can't stop singing... "Anything is possible." Do you still have Seuss songs running through your head? In a tribute, one last time...here is a short clip from our Junior Cast performance.
Please go online BEFORE Monday, April 25, (that is the deadline) and purchase your DVD. I will be ordering copies based on actual purchases. I expect the have them ready to pick up at the front desk, early to mid-May.
