It is such a thrill each year to see so many familiar faces and to meet all our new families. If we haven’t had a chance to personally say hello to one another, I look forward to doing so in the weeks ahead.
Auditions were a huge success. Our actors came to give it their all and they sure did! What a talented group we have this year! The audition environment was supportive and encouraging and everyone brought their best self. New friendships are already in the making and I look forward to watching them cultivate as we continue on this amazing journey together.

Reminder of Rehearsal Expectations
Please remind your actor to bring their scripts, a pencil, and a highlighter to every rehearsal.
- Actors need to wear comfortable clothes to dance in and wear sneakers or dance shoes.
- Actors should bring a water bottle and a healthy snack. Please do not rely on the vending machine.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Actors will be held accountable by their Directors to practice between each rehearsal. Please encourage your actor to learn all the songs and practice their lines and dance routines during the weeks ahead. This is a great chance for parents to get involved and for the whole family to have fun!
- Actors received a CD of all the songs. Please play it in the car or at home, whenever possible. The CD is a great teaching tool and an excellent way for actors to learn the music during the week, so they come prepared to each rehearsal.
What to Practice This Week
We asked our actors to read through their entire script at least once and to listen to their CD at least once as well.
Theater is a collaborative effort and it is important to remember that it is the Directors’ role to see the big picture. Please trust our Directors' judgment. What cast your child is in and what role they are playing will be announced this Sunday. Sunday can often be an emotional day. I encourage you to have a conversation with your actor in advance, reminding them that every role is important no matter how big or small it may appear at first glance. Everyone’s contribution is essential and valued, and everyone will have an opportunity to shine on stage. Our Directors and Music Directors are looking forward to the next phase, which is to hone into each of our performers' strengths. Please keep in mind this creative process takes time. A lot will unfold in the next few weeks. Please encourage your child to give their all in rehearsals, practicing at home, and to have a good time. The production team will be constantly evaluating their performance so that they can decide where it makes sense to add more lines, solos, dances etc. The key is to “bring it” each week and remain dedicated. This positive attitude will be noticed.
This journey together is going to be great. So fasten your seat belts and get ready to be apart of the best fairy tale never told!
All good wishes,
