The Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy at the Jewish Community Center of Dallas teaches excellence one stroke at a time with a comprehensive and result-driven swim method, survival curriculum that stresses water safety and an award system that engages and motivates your child providing an environment where swimming is respected, healthy and fun. The year-round program starts with students as young as three months old with a variety of lesson options for infants, children and adults. Lenny Krayzelburg is an American backstroke swimmer, Olympic gold medalist, and former world record holder. He swam in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics and won a total of four gold medals. Supported and designed by Lenny Krayzelburg, the core purpose of this swim method is to teach and inspire water safety and to increase self-confidence and independence through the uniquely
developed SwimRight Method™.

How we are trained: All JCC Lenny K Swim Academy instructors are certified in the SwimRight Method™. They are specifically trained in working with infants, teens and/or adults, and it’s a job they love. The Dallas JCC is dedicated to matching the right instructor with each student, and we are confident that every teacher brings an exceptional skill to the program. So as participants progress, they are paired with new teachers. It also is important that students do not come to rely on only one teacher, but rather learn to be dependent on themselves.

Lenny Krayzelburg is a Jewish, Ukraine-born, Southern California backstroke champ and four-time Olympic gold medalist. At age 13, he moved to Los Angeles with his family. He lifeguarded and swam at the Jewish Community Center in Los Angeles, and his first major age group competition was at the 1990 JCC Maccabi Youth Games in Detroit. Krayzelburg is a member of the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and the USC Hall of Fame. He is a member of the International Jewish Hall of Fame, and recently was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Many consider Lenny Krayzelburg the finest backstroke swimmer in the world. The Aaron Family JCC of Dallas is thrilled to add the LKSA to its roster of top notch programming!
