Sports Camp is back at the JCC but in a brand new way.  It's DOUBLE the activities and DOUBLE the fun as each camper will learn new sports skills, enhance old ones and meet new friends along the way.   Each week your child will be able to choose between a SPORT specialty or our recreational sport option.  We will teach your child the skills needed for each sport and the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork that is associated with it.  This summer we have added NEW sports such as lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and of course, basketball.  Come find out which sport your child may have that natural born ability to succeed in and have those skills increased by our camps.

Sports Camp- Two tracks to choose from each week. SPORT SPECIALTY or REC SPORTS.

WHAT EACH OPTION HAS TO OFFER!

SPORTS SPECIALTY
Sports Specialty camps are designed for all ages and all skill levels. These camps are geared towards the skill development of child through individual and small group instruction while keeping a “camp” attitude revolving around building relationships and having fun. Each morning will be filled with skill development, drills, and games in the sports activities chosen for that week. After lunch campers will participate in other activities such as fitness conditioning, team building, and healthy eating habits. The day will finish with a nice refreshing dip in the pool to cool off.
  • Soccer – The Dallas Cosmos will be doing the skill training for Soccer Camp
  • Lacrosse – Sentry Lacrosse will provide equipment and training for Lacrosse Camp
  • Basketball – Our own Basketball Coach will be in charge of our exciting Basketball Camp
  • Volleyball – Volleyball camp will be run by local volleyball Coach (TBD)

REC SPORTS
NET GAMES – Badminton, Table Tennis, Pickleball
FIELD GAMES – Baseball, Kickball
INVASION GAMES – Water Polo, Ultimate Frisbee

  • Mornings: The group will be split up into 3 daily
    sessions where we will play 1 type of game per session
  • Afternoons: Fitness Conditioning, Team Building,
    and Healthy Habits
  • Daily Free Swim

    NOTE: Both Sports and Rec campers will be combined for afternoon activities

            ADVENTURE GUIDE                   WHAT'S SPECIAL/NEW

 MATT ROWLAND –This is Maclientuploads/_SummerCamp2014/header/matt-rowland.pngtt’s first year, and first summer camp here at the J! While he is new to the J, he is not new to Sports Camp, which he was in charge of at the YMCA of Columbia, South Carolina. Along with camps, Matt has experience playing and coaching different sports from the elementary level through the collegiate ranks. He will be sure to bring a new level of excitement to Sports Camp this summer! 

New this year, campers can choose from two exciting tracks each week. They can pick the specific sport or choose the new recreational track which will have them playing such games as dodgeball, kickball, inner tube water polo, disc golf, and many more.
