JOB TITLE: Part Time Administrative Assistant - Early Childhood Center

Supports staff and leadership, provides customer service, office management. Supports programs to parents, as well as members, of the JECC and Camp Programs (JECC/CP).
This part time position is not benefit eligible. EOE (equal opportunity employer)

HOURS: Monday Friday 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

REPORTS TO: Director of Early Childhood


  • Answer and direct all incoming calls and greet all visitors to the school building. Serve as host to incoming visitors and announce their arrival to the appropriate party.
  • Proactively update and maintain the JECC/CP database.
  • Submit requests for maintenance and repair orders.
  • Collect information; prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
  • Copy and distribute materials.
  • Prepare mailings and handouts on a routine basis.
  • Maintain excellent parent relations and communication through a positive manner and professional image.
  • Be consistent and reliable in arrival and attendance as an essential function to assure the proper operation of the school.
  • Utilize the technology provided for efficiency in records keeping, administrative tasks and communications. Proactively automate manual processes where possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Excellent written and oral communication is necessary to support the department endeavors.
  • Detail oriented. Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Consistently utilize all features of the computer programs necessary to ensure complete school records.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Access. Ability to learn and implement new programs as needed.
  • Support and fully participate in the culture of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in a school environment preferred. Minimum of 5 years in an office/administrative capacity required.
  • Must be able to be flexible with working schedule to participate in family programs, staff meeting, department and agency wide events.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.



  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Detail oriented and well-organized, with ability to plan projects, activities and schedule several months in advance.
  • Flexible and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • This position requires independent judgment, initiative and advanced administrative skills.

JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer

The Facilities Engineer is a supervised by Agency Administration of the Jewish Community Center of Dallas. The individual will be responsible for completion of assigned tasks for Repair and Maintenance functions of the building and grounds, operation of all major building systems and equipment with specific attention to HVAC (chilled/hot water and pneumatic controls), electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair & maintenance. This nonexempt salaried position offers a benefits package. Some weekend and nights required. EOE (equal opportunity employer).


  • Complete work-orders for repair and maintenance work on a variety of building physical structures, equipment, and system components.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs on building systems and equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections of facility and makes necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Perform work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules and assist with event set-ups.
  • Perform small to medium in-house renovation projects.


  • Perform repairs, modification, adjustments, calibrations and conducts preventative maintenance on building and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems such as lubrications, cleaning, filter changes, etc.


  • Proficiency in one trade area preferred i.e. HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electric.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs

JOB TITLE: Graphics Coordinator – Temporary Position

REPORTS TO: Marketing/Communications and Program Director

This should be accomplished through the following non-inclusive list: computer software, illustrations, clean design, graphic layouts, interactive media, e- marketing, visual and written communications, web banners, online ads (future), brand development. The Graphics Coordinator will be an integral part of the creative team and will serve as the “go to” resource for all daily requests.


  • Excellent communication skills, *proofreading, interpersonal, collaboration and organizational skills a must.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – particularly * In Design, Photo Shop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Winn Zip, and Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the field. Knowledge of E-marketing is essential.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and keep cool while wearing many hats in a fast-paced, creative, and flexible environment. Must be detail oriented in all aspects of position.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, wireframes, cross-browser and cross-platform experience - Flash experience also a plus.


  • Coordinate daily projects for the Graphics Department (including project management and accounting for projects)
  • Work with staff members and mainly the marketing team on executing marketing projects in a timely manner
  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications on strategic planning, Basecamp updates and weekly task management
  • Develop new and/or make revisions to existing InDesign files and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Design and manage promotional printed media (newsletters, brochures, web banners, flyers, etc.). and e-marketing campaigns
  • Excellent proofing and spelling skills.
  • Gather feedback from the Marketing Team on Web development graphic needs.
  • Remain up-to-date on the best practices in technology and Web/print style.
  • Utilize various graphic software tools and technologies to transform graphic concepts into specific electronic applications on and off-line.
  • Ability to maintain a positive customer service attitude when dealing with internal/external customers and vendors.

REPORTS TO: Director of Early Childhood


The perfect candidate will have at least five years’ experience teaching preschool, an education related degree and references.  A candidate in the process of getting their degree with a CDA may be eligible. CPR/Infant CPR and First Aid certifications are required. The ideal candidate will work well in a team atmosphere, follow school policies, and communicate well both verbally and in writing.  Pay is commensurate with experience.   EOE (equal opportunity employer).

JOB TITLE: Head Swim Instructor - LK Swim Academy

REPORTS TO: Aquatics Director

This position will instruct lessons in the Swim Right Method™ curriculum of the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy. This part time, nonexempt position will work a maximum of 29 hours a week (weekend hours required). This position does not offer benefits. EOE (equal opportunity employer).

Part Time Hours:
Monday-Friday 1:00 p.m-6:00 p.m
Sunday 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m

 *Hours are subject to change.


  • 80 percent teaching, 20 percent swim instructor’s management and training
  • Initial interview of new instructors with administrator
  • In the water training session/evaluation of potential new instructors
  • Training of new instructors
  • Final review of new instructors’ teaching skills
  • Quality control of swim instructors staff
  • Instructor performance reviews
  • Periodic training of current staff depending on the number of instructors at the academy, there should be three one hour training sessions devoted to a certain level of the program per month
  • Liaison between pool staff and office/management
  • Development of programs


  • Over 2 years of experience in swim instruction
  • 3 weeks of training and shadowing with Aquatics Director
  • Customer service experience /training

It is expected that the LKSA Head Instructor will be a team player as part of the Sports and Fitness team as well as the JCC Professional Staff team. He/she is expected to be aware of the JCC Mission Statement and the Sports and Fitness Department mission statement and to work within the framework of these two mission statements. He/she is expected to be innovative, imaginative and a positive role model. His/her customer service skills and interpersonal skills must impact every aspect of the job. Responsibilities of the job may be changed as the needs of the JCC and/or community change.
