Get on the move with our total body low impact group exercise class. This class is especially designed for active aging adults that are looking to improve cardiovascular fitness, make a few strength gains, and fine tune your balance.

Our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteer group of special women who give their time and energy stuffing dolls and sewing them up for young children who have cancer; these dolls go to Parkland Hospital. For newborn babies, volunteers knit baby caps and booties. Volunteers are welcome. We accept donations of fabrics, stuffing and yarn.

Join us for an hour of fun playing Scrabble.

Chorus

Director Sharon Balaban and accompanist Barbara Arnstein lead this group of people who love to sing and perform. The chorus performs at the J and local retirement communities, and welcomes new voices! No memorization required. Contact the Senior Department at 214-239-7119 for further details.

College on the Couch

As we continue to meet the mission of lifelong learning at the JCC, we are introducing a new series to College on the Couch! Such a timely topic in this day and age of the Internet: Privacy, Property and Free Speech We will be listening to lectures presented on DVD.
We offer another series of The Great Course - Optimizing Brain Fitness with Professor Richard Restak. He is Clinical Professor of Neurology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science. A prolific writer, Dr. Restak has written 20 books on the human brain.
