FamiliArts
Familiarts is a unique cross-cultural performing arts program, endorsed by Dallas ArtsPartners as an educational tool for the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). Six times a year, the JCC presents performances by top children's entertainers that are unique to Dallas, for students in kindergarten through high school. Each performance is based on some aspect of school curriculum.
Each of the presentations is shown to between 1,500 and 3,000 students who attend public, private and home schools throughout the Metroplex. The program reaches well beyond the Jewish community − promoting education and understanding through cultural awareness and helping children develop a lifelong love of the arts.

This highly sensitive, moving multi-media performance combines live theater with historical film footage. See the world of Anne Frank through the eyes of a friend. Witness the pain, loss, and hope of young people during the Holocaust. This moving program is a poignant portrait of friendship and survival, brought to life through the eyes of Anne Frank’s “best” friend.

Garry’s fast-paced, dynamic performance, commissioned and developed with the Museum of Science in Boston, MA explores the scientific principles of gravity, leverage, fulcrums and simple machines. Combining circus skills, mime, original music and audience involvement, Garry and his audience investigate basic scientific information and delve into the imaginations of scientists who explore our world. Garry’s unique performance shows that science can be fun!

Based on Marcus Pfister’s bestselling book, ArtsPower has created a touching musical about the value of sharing and friendship with others. With her beautiful colors and shimmering scales, the Rainbow Fish is used to being the most beautiful creature in the ocean. So when the other fish ask her for some silver scales, she refuses since it’s the scales that make her unique. Will some good advice from the wise Old Octopus persuade Rainbow Fish to share her gifts with others?
