The J Sports+Fitness Center offers a state-of-the-art facility open to community membership. Besides a workout center, swimming pools and tennis center, a variety of exercise classes are offered: Zumba, Rowing, Pilates, Yoga and more. A complimentary 7-Day Pass is extended to friends and family to try out the facility.

This past Sunday 30 teens from the J’s Teen Mitzvah Corps did an amazing job of making sandwiches to be donated to Austin Street. Here is the breakdown of what they collected:

Sandwiches: Total 548… 348 made by TMC, and we collected an additional 200 sandwiches from JCC Staff and our Early Childhood families
Cookies: 400
Chips: 402
Clementines: 252
Mustard: 1500 packets
Mayo: 250 packets
*We also donated a number of blankets, towels, and socks.

Monday, Abbii took a small group (5) of teens to Austin Street to serve lunch and drop off the donation items. Due to the cold Austin Street had almost 200 people at the shelter yesterday. We were able to provide all of these people with a nice meal and a friendly smile.

J staff got a sneak peek of Wellth Week with ear seeds. BSW Acupuncturist, Ashley Oved, joined us today to place little sticker acupressure points on the ears to help with stress, headache, pain, sleep and more. Join us on the Wellness on Wheels on March 5 and 7 to experience ear seeds for yourself!

On Wednesday, February 27 at 11 am come join us for an interactive experience learning about essential oils with Cleerlife Co-Founder Lisa Solomon.

Lisa is a mom who became passionate about what was going into her daughter’s (and her) body and using pure and safe products in her home.

If you’re curious about how you might be able to take a bit of a step away from chemicals and toxins and use essential oils in your life and your home, then this is the session for you! Come armed with your questions and experiences.
