Congregation Anshai Torah and Aaron Family JCC Of Dallas Announce Historic Partnership To Bring JCC Preschool To Plano
Landmark Agreement Will Establish A JCC-Operated Early Childhood Program Within Congregation Anshai Torah's New Education Wing, Expanding Access To Exceptional Jewish Early Childhood Education In North Texas
DALLAS, TX — The Aaron Family Jewish Community Center of Dallas (the "JCC") and Congregation Anshai Torah ("Anshai") today announced a landmark partnership that will bring a JCC-operated preschool to Congregation Anshai Torah's campus at 5501 Parker Road in Plano, Texas. The Board of Directors of both Anshai and the JCC voted to authorize negotiations for a long-term lease and operating agreement, marking a pivotal moment for early childhood Jewish education in North Texas.
The partnership will place a fully JCC-operated preschool within a dedicated education wing currently under construction at Anshai's Plano campus. Designed as a strategic community collaboration rather than a conventional real estate transaction, the agreement will combine the JCC's decades of expertise in early childhood programming with Anshai Torah's deep roots in the North Dallas Jewish community.
"This partnership is a testament to the shared commitment both organizations have to strengthening Jewish life in North Texas," said Todd Chanon, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Aaron Family JCC of Dallas. "By bringing the JCC's world-class early childhood programming to Plano, we are opening doors for young families throughout the region and investing in the next generation of our community."

The preschool program will be fully owned and operated by the JCC, maintaining the same high standards of early childhood education that families have come to expect from the JCC's renowned Goldberg Early Childhood Center.
The JCC will retain full operational authority over the program, bringing its established curriculum, expert educators, and community-centered philosophy to serve Jewish and broader Dallas-area families in Plano. This will be complemented by Anshai's role as a vibrant and growing Conservative synagogue, known for engaging families at every stage of life, strengthening Jewish identity, and serving as a cornerstone of Jewish communal life in North Texas.
"This collaboration reflects the strength and momentum of our Anshai Torah community and our vision for the future," said Michael Dubner, President of Congregation Anshai Torah. "We are proud to provide a dynamic and welcoming home in Plano, where Jewish life continues to grow and thrive. Partnering with the JCC allows us to expand opportunities for young families while enhancing the breadth and quality of experiences we can offer. Together, we are creating a model of collaboration that will benefit our community for generations to come."

The two organizations have also committed to a joint fundraising initiative to name the school and support the build out of the dedicated preschool space within Anshai Torah's new education wing. Both organizations will collaborate to raise these funds in support of the shared vision.
The partnership reflects a shared mission to attract young families, deepen Jewish engagement in the region, and provide exceptional early childhood programming. Both the JCC and Congregation Anshai Torah are longstanding pillars of the Dallas and Plano Jewish communities, each bringing a distinct and complementary set of strengths to this collaboration.
